how to build a statement jewelry collection | giveaway

You love to experiment with statement jewelry. You want to have a few bold pieces that go with almost anything in your closet, so your jewelry box remains neatly organized and you won’t have that “I have nothing to accessorize this cute dress with!” moment.

I love to keep things simple in my closet, simply because I hate having to dig through a ton of crap until I find what I am looking for. Plus, I really don’t like to iron… And this goes for jewelry and accessories as well.
Here are a few tips to build a statement jewelry collection from only a few pieces that will go with almost anything in your closet.

1. have a couple of colorful pieces in your jewelry box

A piece of jewelry full of bold colors will definitely make a statement and will pair with almost any texture and color in your closet. One of those colors in your bracelet will pick up a hue in your outfit and your good to go!

2. don’t wear more than one statement accessory

We don’t want to look like a Christmas tree, do we? When you choose a big, bold necklace for the day, keep the rest of your accessories low key! A ring and a pair of subtle studs  are allowed. :-)

3. pile on those pearls!

My moto when it comes to pearls is “you can never get enough of them”. I am totally bias when it comes to pearls and I can pile them up like nobody’s business. When you layer up a lot of pearls, just make sure to keep the hues neutral. You don’t want to loose your “ladylike” in the process.

4. keep your makeup subtle and natural when you wear statement earrings

Those gorgeous beauties will draw a ton of attention to your face. Let the earrings stand out and keep your makeup natural. Can you imagine a heavy eye makeup or bold lipstick with these earrings here? No, right?

5. keep your outfit simple

Wear simple, uncomplicated silhouettes so your whole look doesn’t get busy.
