Sunday is the least productive day of the week and that’s how it should be! This is the day for you to do things that allow you to de-stress and get energized. You work hard all week, this is your time to indulge, recharge and get the most out of your Sunday. Doesn’t it feel great getting back to work on Monday fully recharged and well rested?
1. sleep in
Get a good night sleep in and watch a show from bed before getting up. Or even better! Let your hubby or kids pamper you with breakfast in bed.
2. indulge yourself
This is the day to take a big bite into that juicy burger you’ve been eyeing on all week at your best in town local diner that you normally never get any close to because their food is so darn good (this is the day NOT to count calories). Get out of town for the day or take a long bubbly bath! Do whatever floats your boat to decompress and have fun!
3. meet with friends and family
Make it a point to spend some quality time with your loved ones. Everyone is so busy throughout the week and you might brush over things that’s a huge deal for your spouse but you don’t think much of it at that moment. This is the day to slow down, listen and catch up with whatever is going on with your family members and dear friends.
4. get some ME time
Pamper your body. Get your nails done, have a facial or go for a relaxing massage. It makes such a difference and sets the tone for the upcoming work days.
5. prepare for the upcoming week
Have a to do list of what you want to tackle in the upcoming few days. Also, if you didn’t have time for house work on Saturday, make sure to catch up with the basics at least. I am never in a good mood on Mondays knowing that I slacked off vacuuming. A clean house helps me to start off the week with a clearer mind. I also like to get ahead of the cooking game on Sundays. As much as I love to cook, a lot of times my battery is drained by the time I get home from work. Prepping those lunch boxes and planning meals out makes things so much easier. Throw everything into the slow cooker in the morning and come home for a ready to eat home cooked meal. If you’re looking for healthy / easy slow cooker meal options, I’ve got them for you right HERE!
