Yes, I’m wearing the same dress all week! It took me years and several “I have nothing to wear this with!” moments to realize the importance of basics. Having versatile pieces and good quality basics comes with a ton of advantages starting with a more organized and transparent wardrobe to saving more money. I picked a super simple sweater dress to challenge myself and style it for 5 days a week. This is what I came up with on how you can style a sweater dress for 5 days…
1. pair it with a structured blazer for a polished look
Adding a structured blazer and a pair of heels changes up the whole look from laid back casual to perfectly polished, “ready to tackle the next project” outfit.
2. top it off with a full skirt and blazer
Since this sweater dress has a very soft and relatively thin fabric, I pulled it up so the bottom portion does not hang out. Put a long sleeved blazer on and there you have your next work outfit!
3. throw on a long sweater and add a belt for a fun layered look for a casual Friday
Adding a belt can make all the difference in turning laid back into business casual. This layered look is cool, effortless and creative. A striped sweater is such a staple for year round!
4. layer it with a moto jacket for a casual brunch date
5. add your favorite chambray
Create an effortless and super chic look by adding your favorite chambray shirt and a pair of pumps! Swap out those heels for flats if you have a lot of running around to do. This pair with pointed toes is my go to basic when I want to look polished without hurting my feet.
