two seasons, three styles | the little red dress

Do you find yourself not knowing what to wear, yet you have the most versatile piece of your wardrobe collecting dust on the hanger? This is how I felt when I saw this red dress in my closet. This piece is incredibly simple, versatile and makes the getting ready process so quick and easy. I styled it for work and play for warmer as well as the cold seasons.

1. cocktails and holidays

Can you imagine anything more ladylike and appropriate for the holidays? The classic silhouette and decollete gives you endless options when it comes to accessorizing. I kept it simple by choosing delicate jewelry. How would you style this dress for a cocktail hour?

2. working woman – end of summer

As this red dress has a deep decollete, I layered a sharp, crisp white button down shirt on top to make it work appropriate. The shirt tones down the feminine side of the dress without making the full look masculine.

3. work in fall / winter

This gorgeous tweed coat was made for an all red outfit. This time I layered the dress with a sheer, loose blouse. I always like to add a belt to create a silhouette elongate the legs. The full look is elegant and it looks like somebody is all ready for the holidays!

Two seasons, three styles, oh, how I love the little red dress!
