stripe knit dress X the red blazer
A comfortable midi dress is probably my second favorite garment after jeans for a casual office style. I appreciate the light color with the bold stripes for an effortlessly chic and so perfectly comfortable outfit. Just by adding a blazer you polish up the dress for the office. It can also be easily dressed down with a chambray shirt and flats for a playful weekend. The other day I added a statement necklace and a wide belt for a casual dinner event. It’s versatile, timeless and chic and if you prefer darker colors, this same dress is available in black as well.
I find this look so incredibly simple yet so striking. The bold stripes draw attention and add casual elegance to the dress. You can easily tone down the loud colors by adding a beige or white blazer or a tunic on top. Or you can just go with the black version. I find it has a bit more elegance to it and with a collared, sleeveless shirt underneath and a black blazer on top, you may well take this dress to the office on a Monday.

This is indeed a knit dress, however the fabric is quite light making it perfectly appropriate for warm summer days. I recommend under-skirt or long cotton tunic to layer underneath the white dress just to make sure nothing is showing through.
You can even go a step further and style this very dress as a tunic on top of your favorite skinny jeans. Just pull it up at your waist and secure the excess fabric with a belt around your waist. Interested in the idea? Watch this video below on how you actually do it so you don’t look like you just stuffed a bunch of something around your waist.
