business meets feminine | structured blazer x midi skirt

Black and white has been one of those combinations that I always love to wear. A classic cut, structured black blazer is one of my most trusty garment. It sharpens up any outfit and you cannot live without it if you work in corporate world.

Call me crazy, but I like to incorporate a serious, all business structured blazer into off-duty styles. It works great with shorts or ripped jeans. However, pairing it with a feminine A-line skirt is a first. What do you think? I thought it was an interesting and creative use of a sometimes “boring” jacket. I definitely recommend a belt, otherwise you’ll look bigger and your waist will get lost between the skirt and the jacket.

Would you wear this combination for work?

I love how you styled this blazer! The addition of the belt was great as well. This outfit is very work-appropriate, but it still has a unique and feminine feeling to it…in my opinion. And as always, your midi skirts are always so beautiful!!

Hope you have a wonderful day, Bogi!

Great combo ! I am not a big fan of wearing belts over blazers myself but I like seeing them worn by others :) The midi skirt rocks !

It’s not your everyday combination but I think a belt is a must if you pair a blazer of this length with a full skirt. Have a great weekend, Julia! Bogi

Very, very pretty – I’ve yet to try belting my oversized blazer.

A belt gives more structure to your blazer and it turns the look feminine. Definitely recommend you to try it. Have fun and wishing you a wonderful weekend! Bogi

Bogi, love how feminine, but professional, your outfit is. Belting the jacket makes all the difference. By the way, I appreciate how real and honest your blog is. Yours is one of the very few I follow consistently.
