Starting off the week in a classic tweed dress from the Eva Mendes collection. I have been a big fan of her line since she started to partner with New York & Company. Every piece of the collection is feminine, classic with some modern elements and the fabric quality is outstanding. I was between this shift dress HERE and the pictured boucle dress HERE. Both dresses are made out of the same fabric, but the shift dress is shorter with more flirty elements. Currently you can buy any of these dresses at a buy one, get one 50% off deal.
I love the feminine V-cut in the back on this tweed dress. The fabric has shimmery sequin embellishments and the elastic waistband makes the otherwise not flexible fabric very comfortable for all day wear. The dress has a straight silhouette and it is fully lined. The fabric? It is made out of a blend of polyester and cotton. A comfortable and ladylike dress that will turn heads for seasons to come. I find the price reasonable compared to the design and quality and would definitely recommend it. One down side, it needs a little more TLC than other dresses: it’s dry clean only.
The shoes deserve a mention as well. I recently bought them for under $40! They are made out of suede, come in four different colors and they are made for office wear. Very elegant and subtle pumps with 3 1/2 inch-high heels.
