boyfriend blazer X feminine lace
I am a big blazer fan, but most of my blazers are tailored and more form fitting. Hence, when I am dressing for Home Depot, I end up being in a pickle by not finding a jacket that gives me coverage and doesn’t make me look like I am about to have a serious meeting in the seeds section. Over time I have found a new love for boyfriend blazers. They satisfy my craving for some structure and that added layer I always look for, yet they are less structured and loose enough to give me that effortless, carefree vibe.
This laid back and chic blazer and short set is something that was missing from my wardrobe. I appreciate the comfortable fit that essentially makes the whole outfit rather informal and the feminine lace details add a hint of flirty to the full look. You can play around with these types of jackets: you can pair them with leggings, skinny jeans or a pair of fitted pants for work. These boyfriend blazers pair really well with pencil skirts, especially when you accentuate your waist with a belt.
And the shorts are certainly a no-brainer. You can dress them down with a tee for a casual stroll or change things up for your next date night by wearing a pair of cute shorts instead of a skirt. These scalloped shorts HERE are cute and casually elegant, but I also have my eyes on these embroidered ones HERE.
